Teaching Experience

• Since 2021, he has worked as a Secondary School Physics and Chemistry Teacher, teaching students from 2.º ESO (aged 13–14) to 2.º Bachillerato (aged 17–18). 
• He has experience in educating gifted and talented students, both as a teacher in the Educational Enrichment Group of the Enrique Tierno Galván High School and as a Science Teacher in the Educational Enrichment Programme for Gifted and Talented Students of the Community of Madrid.
• Throughout his teaching career, he has held several leadership and management positions, including serving as a Secretary of High School and Head of the Physics and Chemistry Department.

• He has served as a member of examination boards for the selection of Secondary School Physics and Chemistry Teachers.

• In addition, he has collaborated with the Spanish Ministry of Education in the development of educational resources, university entrance examinations, and national assessments for evaluating the Spanish education system.

Research & Academic Activities

• President of the Specialized Group on Didactics and History of Physics and Chemistry of the Royal Spanish Societies of Physics and Chemistry since 2025. He previously served as Vice-President (2021–2025) and Board Member (2017–2021).
• Spanish Delegate in the Chemistry Education Division of the European Chemical Society, since 2026.
• Editor of Faraday. Boletín de Física y Química, journal for Physics and Chemistry Teachers, since 2026.
• Associate Editor of Educación Química, international journal on chemistry education, since 2025.
• Member of the Advisory Board of EduQ, journal for Chemistry Teachers, since 2023.
• Coordinator in Spain of the IUPAC international study on Green and Sustainable Chemistry practical activities (2024-2025).
• Scientix Ambassador, the community for science education in Europe, since 2024.
• Author of numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in science education, history of science, and science communication.
• Speaker at more than one hundred national and international conferences.
• Reviewer for scientific journals in science education and history of science.
• Invited lecturer in teacher education master's programmes and professional development courses.

Academic Interests

• Science Education: Physics and Chemistry Teaching in Secondary Education; didactic uses of the history of science, curriculum and textbook analysis; pedagogical content knowledge (PCK); the design of teaching and learning experiences, and STEM teacher training. 
• History of Science: History of Physics; History of Chemistry; and History of Science Teaching, with a particular interest in biographies, material culture, pedagogical practices, textbooks and journals.
